When Words Matter is Jenny Elliott

After years as a journalist, publisher, teacher and traveller, Jenny is now based in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.

Your ceremony is all about you and I feel honoured to be able to work closely with you at this important time in your life.
 
I bring wide-ranging life experience to my celebrancy work, including living and working in other cultures. I also have personal experience of deep grief and joyous love.
 
As a celebrant, I am weaving together this background with the strands of my former professional life as a journalist and my love of poetry, music and ritual.
 
I love people. I love stories, I love writing and I’m an accomplished public speaker.

My training in creating ceremonies for a diverse range of occasions was at the NZ Celebrant School and I have a Certificate in Celebrant Studies.

I am registered under Section 11 of the Marriage Act 1955 by the Department of Internal Affairs as a Marriage & Civil Union Celebrant and belong to the Celebrants’ Association of New Zealand.
